day of the dead

Class Details

Cascarones are hollowed out eggs that are filled with confetti. Common throughout Mexico and traditionally made at Easter and Dia de Los Muertes. In the Old Pueblo you can often see the eggs decorated elaborately and mounted on paper cones and sold at fall festivals.

These fun party favors make great decorations, and can be fun all year long, or can be “cracked” to spill the confetti for a celebratory moment!

All Supplies Included

Each participant will make 4 cascarones!

Kids 8 and older are welcome to participate with a paying adult. Everyone needs to buy a ticket. This will be a fun event for the whole family!

*Class is subject to cancellation if fewer than 5 people sign up. If you are registering the day before or the same day, please call us to see if the class is happening. We can also revive a class that has been canceled if your group helps us meet the minimum number.

*Class is capped at 24 seats! If there are still 19 or more tickets available, round up your friends to make sure the class meets the minimum sign-ups.

Paint Night

Class Details

Celebrate with a fun paint night with friends.

The painter can choose the background color and embellish the skulls with our help.

In Mexican culture, sugar skulls or CALAVERA can be edible or decorative and are used during Dia de Los Muertos celebrations. These skulls represent a departed soul. Often times the person’s name is written on the forehead and then the sugar skull is placed on an altar or ofrenda or directly on the person’s gravestone to honor the return of their spirit.

Folk art style sugar skulls are colorful, sparkly and are heavily adorned.

BYOB 21 and older. 40oz of beer or 1 liter of wine per person.

All supplies included.
